I have been capturing weddings since 2001. In those days at the turn of the 21st century I was shooting film and getting through 15-20 rolls per wedding. Those days of film, thankfully have long gone! 

My style of wedding photography is that of story telling and getting high quality images. I feel the Canon R6 Mark ii is my perfect companion. Image quality is breath taking. Focus speed is unreal. A dream camera with if I want to use, 40 frames per second.

I also use the amazing range of Canon lenses as I demand nothing but the highest quality in the image. This is prefect for clients as when they use the USB they have in their package, they can produce photographs suitable for large frames of a canvass.

This image was taken at a private house in Chelsea. A very special moment during the Malay Wedding Cermony. After the wedding at Chelsea Old Town Hall the couple and guests celebrated in Chelsea with magnificent Malayasian food.

The couple invited me to capture the complete story of the day. It began with the bride getting ready and concluded after the first dance. Full day coverage starting at £895.

One of the best ways to understand traditional Malay culture is to participate in a Malay wedding, which is fascinating and steeped in age-old traditions. A Malay wedding begins with an akad nikah ceremony. The groom signs the marriage contract and agrees to provide the bride with a mas kahwin or dowry. The bride and groom will undergo many rituals such as the berinai besar ceremony where the fingers are painted with henna. On the day of the wedding, the groom arrives with his entourage of relatives and friends. He is accompanied by musicians beating the kompang (a percussion instrument) and followers carrying the bunga manggar or palm blossoms. As they arrive at the bride’s home, the entourage will be greeted with the sprinkling of yellow rice and scented water. Sometimes, performances such as pencak silat (the Malay martial arts) are held. Elderly representatives of the bride and groom engage in a custom called berbalas pantun, where poems made up of amusing verses are exchanged between the two parties. To add gaiety to the joyful affair, the groom and his party are sometimes required to overcome humorous obstacles before being allowed in.

This is a glimpse of the wedding of Kate and Simon. The couple will have over 1100 images taken on the day. Wedding photography started at Ashton Lodge which is situated between Coventry and Rugby in Warwickshire.
From here the wedding ceremony took place at Christ the King Church in Coundon Coventry. It was back to the wonderful Ashton Lodge for the wedding breakfast and reception.

I will always meet with couple's pre wedding. This often happens 2-4 weeks before the big day. Meeting at one of the wedding day venues is perfect as we can walk the day and all the details of the wedding are just about in place. There is no extra charge for this service.
