Every wedding venue has its own rules when it comes to photography. Church weddings are the where I find there can be some very strict procedures. The worst case scenario is no photograph at all during the service. I am pleased to say this is very very rare. One up from this is photography but only from the back. This is no issue for me as I can still capture key moments of the service by using different lenses.

The photographs below were all taken in May 2015. I always introduce myself to whoever is taking the service before guests arrive. Its a great ice breaker and from that chat I can judge how far I might be able to push it if need be! I very rarely use flash during the service. From back I can observe all before me.

The best case scenario which is becoming more popular is to be able to capture what I wish and move around freely. Being conscious of my surroundings and guests is my number one objective. The less I am noticed the better and the more emotion in the images. If I have been asked to stay at the back of the church during the service, the time I am allowed to come forward is at the signing of the register. I always give the client the option of having their wedding images in Black and White as well as colour. This service is completely FREE. I give this choice too when it comes to album images. At the ordering the stage you simply note the image you wish to have in Black and White.The images below show a complete wedding captured in May 2015 and shows a very small flavour of the day all in Black and White. These are from over 650 images the couple will have on their USB folio. So...They will have 650 all in Colour and 650 all in Black and White. With the images, like all photographs I supply you are receive a signed letter from myself giving you permission to obtained copies of the photographs from the USB/Disc. You can simply take to any high street store or supermarket and print print ...print!

I met with this couple prior to the wedding to get a feel of what they wanted to see in their wedding photographs. The answer I got was a cross section of traditional with lots of details and for me to step back and let the day flow naturally to get images of guests enjoying the day. This on the whole is what I try to capture in all the weddings that people ask me to be apart of. Clients often comment that they love what I have captured for them and how they hardly noticed me throughout the day.
